Unless
you are the partner of the deceased,
is there a parent or child of the deceased
who is not in re¬ceipt of a qualifying
benefit and is not under 18. Or is there
a close relative other than a child
under age 18 or a close relative living
outside the UK who was in close contact
with the deceased and is not getting
a qualifying benefit. Each case will
be con¬sidered according to individual
circumstances.
You may get help if a child has died
for whom you were responsible and
there is no absent parent (unless
they were getting one of the benefits
above or were estranged from the child
at the time of death) or you were
the parent of a still born child.
